This here portion of the Bulkley River has been a favorite place of mine for years, as I brought my children and their friends to play in the sand and go for a dip in the river on hot sunny days.
My children who are now grown, brought their little ones to the same place, year after year watching the smiles on their faces as they splash one another and make funny things in the sand.
We brought the dogs to the river, watching them swim and chase sticks that are floating away.
It is peaceful place, just sitting watching the river move along slowly as it winds it’s way through the Bulkley Valley, but in the spring, the river becomes quite violent with it’s rushing water craving out a new path changing the the rivers flow forever.
Also there is Beavers that do there best in trying to block the river in hopes of making a home, most times it seems they fail.
Anyway, here are some photos of the Bulkley river I took today, September 12, 2015.
